Personal Care and Supportive Services

Services that go beyond the usual support

Often referred to as senior care, our personal care services help individuals remain safe, independent and settled at home. It’s often the kind of in-home care that prevents individuals from moving out of their home and into a less attractive, more expensive care setting.

Personal care and supportive services are put in place to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs). The basic ADLs include eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (walking) and continence. In most instances, these services provide the extra help your loved one needs to lead an enriched life, some may only need a little extra help or in other instances, 24 hours support.

Need some respite? Senior care can offer great relief to overworked family caregivers needing a break. It’s really very common for family caregivers to enlist the help of someone else when they have their hands full, and who better than a local, trained professional from Interim HealthCare of Peoria?
